A team of advisors with more than $1.5 billion under their management.
Marc Singer, MBA, CFP®
Founding Partner & Advisor
Marc is a lifelong Miami Beach native, with family roots to South Florida stretching back 81 years.
By co-founding Singer Xenos, he is proud to have helped hundreds of families in the region create financial security and wealth, assuring a high quality of life for them for generations to come.
A father of three and grandfather of five, Marc also is passionate about helping others realize their dreams by investing personally in start-up companies, specifically those focused on innovative medical technology.
Marc holds a Masters of Business Administration and is a Certified Financial Planner™. He serves both as a financial advisor and a member of the SX Investment Committee. His reputation is well-known within the industry. Marc has been named five times as one of the top 100 most-exclusive advisors in the U.S. by Worth Magazine, and he has been featured by Fox News, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, The Miami Herald, and more. He also founded and heads up the Advisor Forum, an organization of 14 advisory firms that manages over $9 billion in assets.
Marc enjoys having the opportunity to help individuals who might not fit the traditional wealth management client profile, and he sees his biggest accomplishment as mentoring SX’s staff and advisors to always put the client first.
Faith Read Xenos, CFP®
Founding Partner, Chief Investment Officer, Chief Operating Officer, & Advisor
Our co-founder does more than head Singer Xenos’ investment research team and manage the firm’s operations. Faith is a career advocate for making sure that women, in particular, receive the right (and best) advice to help secure their financial futures, especially when facing a life-changing event.
That’s why she started the Women’s Financial Services division to address specific wealth challenges that only women may encounter. She’s also proud that Singer Xenos’ online network, the SX Women’s Group, remains vibrant and unique in the industry, 11 years after its formation.
Faith has been designated as a Certified Financial Planner™ since 1989. In addition to authoring articles for the South Florida Business Journal, The Miami Herald and Coral Gables Gazette, she also has been profiled in numerous publications, including Working Woman, Miami Today, Florida Trend and more.
A passionate philanthropist, Faith has served as a board member for numerous charitable and community organizations, including Lotus House Shelter, Women’s Cancer League, Voices for Children and Audubon of Florida.
Faith is also passionate about her family and seeing the world, such as recently traveling to Istanbul for vacation. Just don’t ask her to cook. While assisting clients may be second nature, Faith admits in the kitchen even boiling water might go wrong.
Jay Schechter, JD, CFP®
Partner, Senior Advisor
When not advising clients, Jay Schechter can usually be found whipping up a meal in the kitchen, perfecting his game on the golf course or donating his time to various Jewish community organizations in South Florida.
Jay joined Singer Xenos in 1999. He currently serves as Partner and Senior Advisor and is a member of SX’s Investment Committee. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner™, Jay is a licensed member of The Florida Bar. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami and his Juris Doctor from Temple University Law School in Philadelphia.
Jay practiced law for 10 years, owning his own private bankruptcy law practice, which specialized in sophisticated Chapter 11 matters, corporate workouts and asset protection. He formerly served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert A. Mark.
His comprehensive approach to financial planning means Jay prefers working with clients who entrust him with all aspects of their financial lives because they don’t want to be involved in the day-to-day decision making. He also appreciates clients who are curious and want to learn more about what a financial planner does and why. Since his hiring, Jay has helped the firm grow from a staff of five professionals managing $200 million to a staff of 16 managing $1.3 billion dollars.
A lifelong native of Miami Beach, Jay lives there with his wife, who also is a native, and their four children.
Neil Sosler, MBA, CFP®

You might not expect an Art History major and Division I collegiate athlete to pursue a career in investment banking or as a financial advisor. However, Neil’s venture into finance was as smooth as his backhand. He has spent the past two decades honing the investment counsel on which his clients rely.
Prior to joining Singer Xenos, Neil was an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co., in New York, where he specialized in leveraged finance. Lonny Greenberg, MBA, CFP®
As a Certified Financial Planner™ and a member of the SX Investment Committee, Lonny enjoys the opportunity to work with select clients who value his candid guidance and the lifelong relationship he forges both as a confidant and steward of their financial future. What he appreciates most about SX is its collective team of creative and pragmatic minds, which forms the wellspring from which clients receive the most unbiased and realistic financial solutions.
Lonny’s expertise has been valued by many, as he has been quoted in the Miami Herald, South Florida Business Journal, Daily Business Review and WealthManagement.com.

Lonny honorably serves as a member of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale. He also sits on the board of trustees for AMIkids Greater Fort Lauderdale, where he spearheaded a special initiative to build financial literacy for children, a program specifically designed to teach real life financial lessons. Lonny has become a mentor and teacher within the curriculum.
Growing up outside Philadelphia, Lonny has a strong connection to his roots, but now calls Davie home with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid athlete and traveler, but most of all, enjoys spending time with his family.
Peter Brown, MBA
Despite primarily serving as a consultant for Singer Xenos, Peter Brown’s impact on the firm couldn’t be more significant.

The co-founders of Singer Xenos learned much from Brown that would eventually influence the principles and practice mentality that guide the firm today.
Peter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his Masters of Business Administration in Operations Research and Statistics from New York University. A frequent lecturer on investment topics at the University of Miami, Barry University and Florida International University, Peter has been featured and quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s, Kiplinger’s, Your Money Magazine and more.
